観測点での波形

◆共通事項 (Common features)

• パラメータstation_fileで指定した 観測点リストファイルに基づいて各観測点での波形が出力される。 パラメータstation_fileを省略した場合には波形は出力されない。
  The output of the waveforms at stations is based on the station list file specified by parameter station_file. The waveforms are not included in the output when the parameter station_file was omitted.
  
  
• 観測点を含む格子セルの中心点での波形で近似される。
  The waveforms at each station are approximated by those at the center of the grid cell that consists of the station.
  
  
• 波形はパラメータoutput_dirで指定したディレクトリ内の waveformサブディレクトリの下に出力される。 出力ディレクトリは自動的に作成される。
  The waveforms are created under the subdirectory waveform below the directory specified by parameter output_dir. The output directories are automatically created.
  
  
• 波形はymaeda_opentoolsの時系列データファイル形式の1つであるseq1形式 (独自のファイル形式参照) により出力される。
  The seq1 format, which is one of the file formats for time series data in ymaeda_opentools (see Special file formats), is used for the output waveforms.
  
  

◆速度波形 (Velocity waveforms)

• waterPMLコマンドでは食い違い格子を用いており、 変数毎に定義される位置が異なる。 速度の\(x_i\)方向成分\(V_i\) (\(i=0,1,2\))は 格子セルの中心点から\(x_i\)方向にセルのサイズの半分だけずれた位置 (すなわち\(x_i\)軸に直交する格子セル境界面の中心点)で 定義されている(図1)。
  The waterPML command uses a staggered grid, so that different variables are defined at different locations. The \(x_i\) component of the velocity \(V_i\), where \(i=0,1,2\), is defined at the locations that are by the half cell size dislocated along the \(x_i\) direction from the centers of grid calls, i.e., the centers of the boundary planes of grid cells perpendicular to the \(x_i\) axis (Fig. 1).
  
  
• 格子セルの両側での\(V_i\) (図1)を平均することで 格子セル中心点での\(V_i\)を求め、 その時間変化を速度波形として出力する。
  The value of \(V_i\) at the center of a grid cell is computed by averaging the values of \(V_i\) at the both sides of the cell (Fig. 1). The temporal variation of the resultant \(V_i\) at the center of the cell is the output waveform.
  
  
• 出力ファイル名は「観測点名.V成分名.seq1」となる。 ここで成分名は「x」「y」「z」のいずれかである。
  The output file name is “station name.Vcomponent name.seq1”, where component name is “x”, “y”, or “z”.

◆水管傾斜計の傾斜変動レートの波形 (The waveforms of tilt-rates from a water-tube tiltmeter)

• 傾斜変動レートは水平軸まわりの回転の角速度である。 水管傾斜計で観測される傾斜変動レートは 速度の鉛直成分の水平方向への勾配として \(T_i=\PartialDiff{V_z}{x_i}\) (\(i=0,1\))で計算される。
  The tilt-rate is the angular velocity around a horizontal axis. The tilt-rate from a water-tube tiltmeter is computed as the horizontal gradient of a vertical velocity \(T_i=\PartialDiff{V_z}{x_i}\), where \(i=0,1\).
  
  
• 格子セル中心点での傾斜変動レートは観測点近傍での地表面に応じて 図2a-cの青矢印のように\(V_z\)を組合せて計算される。 図2dや図2eのようなケースの取り扱いは パラメータtilt_outputの指定に基づいて行われる。
  The tilt-rate at the center of a grid cell is computed by combining \(V_z\) shown by the blue arrows in Fig. 2a-c, depending on the ground surface geometry around the station. The program follows the parameter tilt_output to treat the cases of Fig. 2d and 2e.
  
  
• 出力ファイル名は「観測点名.T成分名.seq1」となる。 ここで成分名は「x」「y」のいずれかである。
  The output file name is “station name.Tcomponent name.seq1”, where component name is “x” or “y”.
  
  
• 変位ではなく速度の空間微分なので 傾斜変動[rad]ではなく傾斜変動レート[rad/s]が出力されることに留意する。
  Note that the output is not tilt [rad] but tilt-rate [rad/s] because it is computed as the spatial gradient of a velocity, not a displacement.

◆ボアホール型傾斜計の傾斜変動レートの波形 (The waveforms of tilt-rates from a borehole-type tiltmeter)

• 傾斜変動レートは水平軸まわりの回転角速度なので 速度の水平成分の鉛直方向への勾配として \(T_i=-\PartialDiff{V_i}{x_z}\) (\(i=0,1\)) により計算することもできる。 ボアホール型傾斜計で観測される傾斜変動には この定義の方が\(\PartialDiff{V_z}{x_i}\)よりも相応しいと思われる。 なお傾斜変動の符号は \(x_i\)軸の正方向が隆起する場合が正になるように選んでいる。
  Because the tilt-rate is the angular velocity around a horizontal axis, it can also be computed as the vertical gradient of a horizontal velocity: \(T_i=-\PartialDiff{V_i}{x_z}\), where \(i=0,1\). This definition better describes the tilt change from a borehole-type tiltmeter than \(\PartialDiff{V_z}{x_i}\). The positive sign of the tilt change is defined as the uplift of the positive side of \(x_i\).
  
  
• この方法で傾斜変動レートを求めるための速度の組合せを図3に示す。 なお地表面直下の格子セルにおいては ボアホール型傾斜計の傾斜変動は求められない。
  Fig. 3 shows the combination of velocities that realizes the computation of a tilt-rate from this definition. Note that the tilt-rate for the borehole-type tiltmeters cannot be computed at the grid cells immediately below the ground surface.

• 坂井(2012)によれば、 媒質の運動が剛体回転で近似できる場合には 水管傾斜計用とボアホール型傾斜計用のどちらの式を使っても結果は一致するが、 浅いソースによって引き起こされる傾斜変動を地中(ボアホール)で観測する場合には 剛体回転から大きくずれるとのことである。
  Sakai (2012) showed that the equations for water-tube and borehole-type tiltmeters would give consistent results if the motion of the material was approximated by a rigid rotation, but this rigid rotation approximation was far from actual when a tilt change from a shallow source was observed at an underground (borehole) station.
